Back up by 7 AM. People started to wake and the word spread about the puppies. The kids were watching in the window and Michelle, Michael, Phil, Judy and Muriel spent a lot of time just watching the pups. They were fascinating. Also Mark, Mary, John, Rhys and Kyle came into the bedroom. Libby and Julia watched from the window. Kyle often went out to the window and watched the pups. Our friend Rich also came to view the pups. Tilly was watched closely for the first 24 hours. Tilly only left the pups for very short periods of time to run out and go potty and come back. She never went farther than the back of the house.
Pink - She was nursing a lot when she first came out and continues to eat well. Weight 8 oz by 9:30 PM
Orange - (Later becomes red.) He was squeaking a lot when he came out. He was not latching on well to mom's nipple when he first came out but by the afternoon he was doing very well. We were making sure that he gets on two nipples each time they nurse so the he gets caught up to the others. Weight 5 oz by 9:30 PM.
White - (Later becomes black.) Weight 8 oz by 9:30 PM.
Blue - Fur seems to be more white as the day goes on and he dries off. He is very assertive and eats well. He tries to suck on Tilly's tail and paws and also the other puppies' tails and paws. Weight 8 oz. by 9:30 PM.
Yellow - Eats very well. He is a hog. Weight 8 oz. by 9:30 PM.
