The puppies are more aggressive about eating and fight each other for spots. Tilly can stay away from them for longer times because they eat a little less often.
The pups make a good trip back to Door County with several stops on the way. We stopped at the school where my sister teaches. While at the school, the puppies spent time with the four-year-olds in her class and with Gus, the father. Gus was not at all interested in his offspring. He came by and looked at them and then left. I guess there is no paternal instinct in dogs.

The next stop was the Catholic Home, where I worked until my retirement. Many people were able to see and hold the pups. It was a great chance to see some people that mean a lot to me.
It was a warm day, so the car was warm and the pups had a great trip home to Door County.
Interesting point: My sister teaches four-year-old kindergarten and the puppies’ father (Gus) spends his Fridays in her classroom. The kids have been shown pictures of the wedding and have been updated on a regular basis about the pregnancy.
